Water-washable describes a resin's permitted washing process. It does not make contaminated rinse water suitable for the sink, toilet, garden or a household surface-water drain.
Read the exact product instructions
Anycubic Water-Wash Resin 2.0's technical sheet specifies water washing and includes an explicit wastewater warning. Other products and versions may have different wash and cure instructions. Checked 25 October 2026.
Use a dedicated washing container, retain the product identity with the collected liquid, and read the matching SDS from the maker's library. Keep contaminated equipment apart from food preparation and household washing-up equipment.
Keep the waste route visible
| Before washing | Before disposal |
|---|---|
| Confirm resin and approved method | Identify all substances in the container |
| Prepare a labelled collection container | Read the product SDS disposal section |
| Plan drying and curing | Ask the receiving service what it accepts |
Maker instructions may include curing or settling resin waste. Follow the product-specific method and local disposal advice; visible sediment or clearer water alone does not prove the liquid is suitable to release.
Ask your council a precise question
Use GOV.UK's council finder and ask about household water contaminated with photopolymer printing resin. Confirm acceptance and packaging before visiting a recycling centre. If you sell prints, ask whether business-waste arrangements apply rather than assuming household access covers it.
For the full sequence, read washing and curing resin prints; for mixed waste streams, use the disposal guide.
