Before you handle resin Liquid resin can irritate skin and eyes and can cause an allergic skin reaction that gets worse with repeat contact. Wear chemical-resistant gloves suitable for your resin and solvent (often nitrile), and eye protection. Work in a well-ventilated area, away from children, pets and food. Read the safety data sheet (SDS) for your resin and solvent; it takes priority over this site. This is general information, not medical or professional safety advice.

IPA is highly flammable Keep containers closed when not in use and away from heat, sparks, flames, heaters and UV curing lamps. Follow the container’s SDS and let washed parts dry fully before curing. HSE storage guidance is written for workplaces, rather than homes. Checked 2026-10-25.
Keep contaminated liquids out of drains Never pour liquid resin, resin-contaminated IPA or rinse water into a sink, drain, toilet or garden. Follow your resin and solvent SDS and ask your council how to handle household hazardous waste. Filtering solvent does not remove every contaminant. Do not assume cured sludge is accepted with ordinary household waste. Find your local council . Checked 2026-10-25.
