A worked example: a shared bedroom

With no openable window, children using the room and a nearby heat source, the same checklist engine flags ventilation, access and ignition concerns. It does not give a “safe” score.

  • Read the SDS for your resin and solvent
  • Keep the process separate from sleeping, food and shared living space
  • Plan ventilation for printing, washing and curing
  • Check the enclosure and any filter against the maker’s guidance
  • Choose suitable chemical gloves and eye protection
  • Close containers when they are not in use
  • Prevent access by children and pets; consider other room users
  • Separate IPA from ignition sources and heat
  • Prepare for a spill before opening a bottle
  • Arrange a household chemical waste route

Read your exact resin and solvent SDS. A carbon filter is not evidence that ventilation is adequate, and an open window is not a measured exposure control.
